Nespresso has launched an updated version of its popular Pixie coffee machine – the Pixie Clips. The new model allows you to change the colour of your machine on a whim.

The new Pixie costs £139 and comes with two interchangeable clip-on side panels in contrasting colours: either black and yellow or white and coral. There are 12 additional styles available to buy, costing between £15 and £30 depending on the finish.

Nespresso aims to personalise your coffee machine with Pixie Clips
The idea behind the new Pixie Clips range is to allow people to customise their coffee machine – updating it to match any changes to their kitchen design, or just to spruce things up a bit.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this idea hit the world of kitchen gadgets though. Dualit launched a range of kettles and toasters in 2012 with interchangeable coloured panels. Find out what our experts thought of these models by reading our Dualit Architect Kettle review and Dualit Architect Toaster review.

Clip-on panels aside, the Pixie Clips is fairly similar to the old Pixie model in features and in price. And, as with most Nespresso machines, you can buy this model in a bundle including the Aeroccino milk frother for £179.

Which? has fully tested the original Pixie, along with other Nespresso machines including the Maestria, CitiZ, U and Inissia. Find out what our expert coffee taster thought of its espresso-making ability in our Nespresso Pixie review.

Which? reviews of capsule coffee machines
Capsule coffee machines are very popular, largely because they make it really simple to get a consistent cup of coffee quickly, and make very little mess.

But not all models are created equal. While most capsule coffee machines are relatively easy to use, the quality of the coffee they make can vary significantly. We’ve found some that will make a top-notch espresso time after time, while others will leave you with a lukewarm, murky shot. Before you buy, make sure you look at our pick of the best capsule coffee machines.
